As you may have read in the news this week: RBS / NatWest have launched an iPhone app. This is the first mobile app to be produced by a major bank. The app is simple and does not offer any boundary-breaking functionalities. However, it appears generally useful. With the Natwest iPhone app you can:
The bad news is that the app is having some teething problems, and it has not been very well received with rating of 3/5 in Apple's iTunes store. This makes NatWest look as though they just want to jump on the app-bandwagon without a 100% consideration for the product and the end-user. Again it highlights the fact that iPhone users are demanding increasingly higher standard apps and the importance of app utility.
