SMS FAQ
- Do I have to install anything on my phone or PC?
No txt4ever is a web-based application. Just login with an internet connected PC and send messages.
- What is the maximum length of an SMS message?
160 characters. However txt4ever allows you to send longer messages with an extended message service, or multiple messages from the same broadcast.
- Do you add any advertising to your messages?
No. As you are paying for the text messages then that's all we send.
- Are there any subscription fees or hidden extras?
No. After paying the installation charge txt4ever doesn't require any additional subscription. What's more your texts stay in your account and do not expire.
- Can you confirm if my messages have been received?
We provide live delivery receipts for all messages as they are delivered to user's phones. These receipts are shown in your message reports and are ideal for marketing campaigns or business continuity.
- How can I see my sent and received messages?
The message reports area shows everything that has been sent and received through the system. You can carry out detailed searches by date, number or specific words and save the reports as a data file (CSV) for further analysis.
- Can I keep an address book of mobile numbers to send to?
Yes. There is a powerful contact list system - you can store numbers and contact details, create different groups and even import from your computer's address book or a data file. There is an advanced search tool and a facility to export your address book as a datafile.
- How many mobile numbers can I send the same message to at the same time.
It's effectively unlimited. You can broadcast to millions of mobile numbers with just one single text or media message.
- Which networks/countries can I send to?
The system can send to any country worldwide.
- How do I receive messages?
There are three options for receiving messages:
For low volume users the easiest method is to put a mobile number in the user settings. When the mobile user receives their message, they simply press the reply button and the message will go to your mobile.
For promotion and marketing campaigns we can provide and incoming keyword and shortcode (eg text HELLO to 86122). User's can then create their own sub-keywords (eg HELLO WORLD to 86122)
For the business user we can provide a dedicated number for your system. Mobile users reply to a text and it arrives in your message reports and as an email.
- Can all phones receive picture or video messages?
In general, any phone with a WAP and service message facility can recieve them. Apart from the most basic handsets that's pretty much any current mobile. There are problems on some specific handsets - we provide information on known compatability problems.
- Is txt4ever available for resale?
Yes, it is. Resellers can brand the system to their own corporate style, add and manage user and see full transaction reports. We can also install the system on your own domain and adapt the system functions to fit your needs. Please contact us for further information.
